About Korey Gibson

"Ka oho te wairua, ka mataara te tinana, he aroha ki te aroha, ka kā te rama.”

(When the spirit is awakened, when the body is alert, when love is unconditional, enlightenment follows)

I have developed a teaching system framework to optimise knowledge absorption and student performance - SKU.

whai tick

S = Strength

Our programs teach students how to use resilience in daily activities and thought processes, build a strong foundation, implement change, and through consistency, to ensure adherence to any foundations implemented.

whai chart

K = Knowledge

Our teaching methods use information collation to help students realise the power in their own identity, identify limiting beliefs, and share new understandings. This encourages students to be proud of who they are, where they come from, and where they can go in life.

whai tree

U = Unity

Unity is centred around collaboration with others, enthusiasm to learn and develop, and taking enjoyment from both successes and failures to develop long-term resilience. This includes presenting findings in front of others, and the importance of physical role play encounters to create stronger and more effective habitual movement.

Korey was the founding member of the Snap Fitness New Zealand master franchise team who within 9 years grew Snap fitness from 1 club in Christchurch to 57 snaps making the business the largest chain of gyms in the country by location size. The business was built by a mixture of franchise locations along with company owned locations that Korey set up, grew and eventually successfully exited out of in a multi-million dollar deal in 2018.

Korey’s membership sales processes, strategy and education is now used in snap fitness locations globally as his former students have gone on to continue the skill set they learned from him. Korey is able to take people from all backgrounds, cultures and situations, and bring the best out of them and instil a sense of purpose to inspire them to become their best versions. Striving to want to bring the best out of people, Korey is able to take teams outside of their comfort zone and allow them to build confidence both inside the classroom, in the office or bush. He also has a knack for getting people back in touch with nature, and teaching valuable survival and life skills.

When dealing with Korey you are able to learn skill-sets people may never normally opt to learn such as martial arts, self-defence, hunting, survival training, Māori language and more.

Korey is however, not great at teaching certain items such as - fashion, wine tasting, rugby union or honouring bets that he loses. :)

I met Korey as a fresh 18 year old straight out of PT school where I joined his team at Bootcamps Australia.

I instantly new I was going learn a lot from this bloke. He taught me resilience, sales, and amplified my ambition to succeed. 15 years on, I recently reached out to Korey to discuss the success of my business and to get his opinion on where the future could lie. His knowledge and experience in this field is second to none!

I am very grateful for his time.

I'm excited to see what Korey has next on his radar!

My whānau and I had been living abroad for 20 years, loving all the freedoms, new cultural experiences and vast travel opportunities that came with expatriate life.

COVID changed all of that in a heartbeat. All of a sudden my family and I were in lockdown in Malaysia, with daily cases in the tens of thousands, soaring death rates, hospitals overrun, and our business which we had built over a decade in and out of hard lockdowns for 18 months.

Our physical, mental and spiritual health was in rapid decline. We found ourselves pining for Aotearoa, our whānau at home and the care free life for our children that we had been blessed with as Kiwi kids growing up.

Korey was instrumental in helping me to skillfully consider all the options, centered in a firm grounding of what matters most in life. His systematic approach to educating, coaching and moving me ahead in my thinking, planning and most importantly execution made all the difference.

With his guidance I was able to cancel out all the noise and clear my mind to focus on making the right decisions for me and my family. I'm pleased to say that my family and I have returned to Aotearoa, we are doing work that is deeply rewarding, diverse and in line with our goals. Our kids are in the best schools for their skills and needs and we are spending time with our whānau. We could not be happier with the outcome and the process I went through with Korey to get here.

If you are wanting to gain clarity, make big moves in your life and make your best even better - Korey is your man. Get in contact with him and get some!

Ngā mihi e hoa, I can't thank you enough!

My sales career was forged almost 2 decades ago with Koreys' Strictly Sales "Help don't Sell" principles that made selling with ethics and integrity - fun, exciting and created incredible results! Koreys' sales structures and ethos kindled an enthusiasm within me that has been the foundation for so many ventures across various industries such as health, wellness, real estate and business consulting. They’ve allowed me to pivot into whatever I’ve wanted to do and succeed.

I’ve broken company wide sales records for the first 4 consecutive months of starting a new role. I’ve moved to a new town and built up an award winning new business from scratch. I’ve built 3 multiple-six-figure businesses, negotiated 6 figure deals, and even sold over 1.2 million dollars of coaching packages in 12 months - during Covid-19, whilst breastfeeding triplets!

I also have the privilege of consulting on the sales strategy for multi-7 figure businesses who are doing incredible things out there in the world, and it’s an honour I hold so dear to my heart! It’s not just been about making money though, it’s about the freedom I’ve been able to create because my career skills are so adaptable.

Strictly Sales - "Help don't Sell" has been my career long motto and as a result my work has been featured in major industry publications, national television and world wide magazines. I have even used my sales skills to demand a natural birth for my triplets!

When you can authentically speak your truth, and you own your value, you find that the universe starts to rearrange itself around you to reflect what you are most excited to experience in your life. But what I value the most about this career sovereignty is that I can work flexible hours, set my own rates, renegotiate on terms when they no longer serve me and simply just stop on going down a certain path if it no longer lights me up.

I can self govern my vaccination choices without it affecting my income. I have the freedom to start late, finish early, work part time and clock off before school pick up, and if I need to spend a day with my children I can just simply take the day off - because when I focus on my work, the income I receive is far in surplus of the rates I must pay to support me.

During 2020, you supported me with stepping into my future with Fitstop.

You have supported me with mindset, operations, goal setting, business mentorship and Te Reo Māori.

I can't begin to thank you enough for being the guide I needed to step into this new journey. Thanks to your support, I am now able to open my very first business in an area that I am passionate about. Your knowledge and bluntness has led me to taking this big step and leaving my corporate role.

With Te Reo Māori, although this wasn't necessarily a focus within our mentor programme, the support you offered me allowed me to be comfortable and confident with understanding my identity.

Now, I know you said not to go too fluffy and I actively tried not too but what I have mentioned above is true. It's taken me years to be able to be proud of myself and my heritage and after meeting with you and your whānau, I really saw a different side to Te Ao Māori.

In the wise words of Korey Gibson "See you on the battlefield, e hoa".

At the end of the day, I will forever be grateful for your help and support.
